Friday, December 8th, 2006

Ok, I admit, I am not a supporter of a blog term. But I am very happy to introduce to my readers two websites of very nice and interesting people. Marcin Sochacki - one of my best friends and Grzegorz Jarosław Pacek. Good luck boys with writing.

Check www.logotypes.ru website which stores 4989 logotypes/trademarks. All are available in AI format. I honestly admit, I would like to be a trademark attorney who registered at least a half of those marks. ;)

You’are fired™

Friday, December 1st, 2006

In 2004, well-known American businessman, Donald Trump filled an application for registering “You’re fired” trademark. You may search for all those documents at www.uspto.gov website, additionaly pay your attention to other applications and you will see that some persons also applied for rights in this phrase and some of them were granted such protection. Comments about Donald Trump’s attempts were available at www.thesmokinggun.com website. What is more interesting in 2006, Donald Trump was also involved in a trademark distupute with his ex-wife Ivana Trump and he filled a suit against her attempt to register “Ivana Trump” trademark. There is an article about this issue at www.thesmokinggun.com website. I recommend you an article about the right to publicity in the US legal system which is available at www.cll.com website.
Since, yesterday I posted a comment about copyright and plagiarism in the manner of animated movie I decided today also to express my feelings about Donald Trump’s action. Below, there a fragment of American Dad series in which its creator Seth MacFarlane presents his comments. ;)
