The right of citation

December 9th, 2007, Tomasz Rychlicki

This post is not original and even not professional one because it lacks a proper legal commentary but I just wanted to cite the Act on authors right and neighbouring rights of 4 February 1994 (Dziennik Ustaw No 24, pos. 83), consolidated text of 16 May 2006 (Dziennik Ustaw No 90, pos. 631), with later changes.

Art. 29. 1.
It shall be permissible to reproduce in the form of quotations, in works that constitute an integral whole, fragments of disclosed works or the entire contents of short works to the extent justified by explanation, critical analysis or teaching or by the laws of the creative genre concerned.

As you could probably already guessed it concerns my post titled Author’s monopoly on ideas and a really short movie fragment which illustrated it.

The Italian Bob, the eighth episode of The Simpsons, seventeenth season.
